Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your Limited and Awareness Editions based on certain colors? My Limited/Awareness Editions are usually based on a certain color. I can custom make any order with any color; but I like to base the Limited Editions on the color that is affiliated with what the collection is about. If you look at awareness ribbon charts...Each color is for a specific reason.
For example:
Chelsea's Courage: Is based on Leukemia Awareness (orange)

Faith Hope Cure: Is based on Breast Cancer Awareness (pink)
Epilepsy Awareness: Purple
Autism Awareness: Multi Color Puzzle Piece
Domestic Violence: Blue

Why are you so specific about the materials you use (fabrics and yarn)? A lot of what I donate to St. Jude and hospitals (for cancer patients and preemies) is what I base my materials used on. For instance: In the case of preemies; a lot of them have a hard time maintaining their body temperature. So, I will chose soft (but warmer) yarns and fabric. You will also notice that my stitches are closed more than open. This is to make sure the product keeps the baby warm. In the case of patients who are dealing with cancer...It is better to use the softest yarns possible. I recommend baby yarns or cotton (NEVER wool). People who have cancer (and especial are having chemo/radiation therapies) have very sensitive skin. This is why, I ask for smoke/pet free homes; and that nothing is washed in anything but; Perfume/Dye Free, Dreft or Ivory Snow
